We were able to spend a beautiful week in Fiji on our journey to PNG and the highlight was meeting with District Superintendent Sanela and his wife, Pastor Leilani. They shared about what God is doing in Fiji across the 26 churches in the islands and invited us to attend a local Nazarene Church with them on Sunday to see for ourselves. We traveled for an hour and a half outside of Nadi to the village of Natanuku to the Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene. What a privilege to worship with our sisters and brothers in Fiji! They invited us to speak (very last minute!) and share our testimony. Historically in Fiji, only two denominations have been allowed to plant churches inside of a village, Cornerstone Church is the first Nazarene church that has been allowed inside of a Fijian village! And what is more, the foundations have been set for a permanent church building in the village. Pastor Leilani and Pastor Ropate are doing an incredible work of being the hands and feet of Jesus to the local community. Pastor Leilani is looking forward to her upcoming ordination at the District Assembly in a few weeks.
