We have exciting news as all of our visas have been approved and are in hand! We officially leave for this new adventure on September 12. We will spend a week in Fiji experiencing what God is doing there, and then land in Papua New Guinea on the 21 September, finally arriving at our new home on the 22nd. 

​On Sunday 26 July we led our final service as the pastors of Southside Community Church of the Nazarene in Edmonton. We have been here for 10 years and it has been an incredible journey. We are so thankful for a church who called a young family all those years ago and allowed us to dream as we grew together in following Jesus. Southside embraced us as a family and we have been so blessed these past 10 years. It was very hard to say goodbye but we are thankful that we are only transitioning from their pastors to their sent missionaries and that we get to stay a part of the ministry of Southside in this new capacity!

​What a blessing to be part of a district that truly LOVES missions! Our NMI Convention at the Canada West District Assembly was interactive, encouraging, and a wonderful opportunity to learn more about what God is doing through missions in the Church of the Nazarene.
We were especially blessed to share our family's story through Maddie's perspective, and it was such a meaningful moment to have our dear friend, John Watton, pray over our family as we were commissioned as Canada West missionaries.
It was also a joy to reconnect with familiar faces, make new friends, and spend the weekend celebrating what God is doing together. We're so grateful for a district that faithfully prays, gives, and sends. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!

Today we were blessed to be able to share in our first deputation service at our very own church, Southside Community Church in Edmonton Alberta. Faith read Scripture, Maddie and Zeph (along with Jadynn from our youth group) closed with leading Psalm 23 (in song) and Jonny and I tag teamed our call and what God is doing in PNG. 

Following the service, we were blessed with a cookie and cake sale which raised an incredible amount of money for our deputation funds. 

So blessed to call Southside our home for these 10 years and glad they are "sending" us as their missionaries!

We are super excited about our new home in Papua New Guinea. We have been blessed to see pictures of our home. It even has beautiful backyard with it's very own papaya trees! The other day we were at the dentist and Faith found our house (and the whole Hospital Station) on Google Maps! 

Zeph and Maddie attended our Canada West NYI Spring Retreat this past weekend and on the last day, they were invited to share what God is doing in our lives. Thank you to Canada West NYI leaders who have invested in our kids over the past few years and for giving them this opportunity to share. After Maddie shared, everyone gathered around Zeph and Maddie and prayed over them as this journey begins. What a blessing!
